Ive lost several young ones the later part of the summer... I treated for coccidiossis, lost a couple more that were showing symtoms at the time. All was goin ok but suddenly now here we go again..
My young Brahma hen started acting depressed, leaning to one side with wing out, wings droopy, unsteady on her feet, will fall over until u support her an she gets her balance, when walking she lifts her feet high, slowly as if unsure where shes stepping, head pulled back... Much like the coccidioussis symptoms however she also has watery dark green poo! Which is different than the other birds that were sick n died. She is thin, and suddenly grossly lost back, rear n tail feathers... Shes eating like a horse.... mixing plain yogurt an her grower feed.. Im forcing her to drink water by syringe that i have mixed w antibiotic Duramycin 10 and treatment w Corid for coccidiossis... She seems to be hanging on but no improvment yet... after two days... Shes the only one that has had stool like this even the ones that died did not.
Now a second is ill, a young roo... Thin, depressed, droopy wings, head sucked back... Exact symptoms as all those I lost a month ago.... He does not have green stool. Im treating him the same as the other and started the whole flock on Corid but not the antibiotic...
Am I dealing w the same problem as before, are these two ill w different things or is she just hanging on longer?
Ill post a pic of the stool from the pullet... Just gotta get on the pc instead of my phone to do so...
