This isn't my first time raising chickens. I've had my own farm. I'm now a disabled vet, so looking to make some extra cash. Had a funny thing happen.
I have a 12 week old black lab puppy. As every morning, I went to feed them. The puppy got in the chicken coop. The Tom jumped on the pups back, pecked a couple times, the pup learned, not to go into the coop again.
Can anyone tell me the cheapest place to order my egg cartons? I just paid $41.00 for just 75 cartons. Just a bit to high for some disabled vet.

Hello and welcome to BYC - thanks for joining us.

Sorry, I don't live in the States so I can't help with your question, but hopefully others will be along to help you out.

You may wish to consider joining your state thread as it will put you in touch with other BYC members in your area and maybe someone there can help :fl - Find Your State Thread

Best wishes

Hello Jim and welcome to BYC! :frow

Wow, what a great story! Birds are incredibly smart and know how to protect thier flocks!

Definitely ask around your state thread. Years ago there was a guy on Ebay selling them for .40 cents a carton including shipping. Things are so expensive these days.

Pull up a roost bar and enjoy the chicken chat here! :)

Thank you for your service!
Here's a few sources:
Circle C Supply 12 count egg $0.38/carton, unlimited supply. s-l225.jpg
Premier 1 Supplies 12 count egg $0.46/carton unlimited supply. eggctnsld-2.png
Ebay, lots of sellers. Different quantities/ prices.
Tractor Suppy sometimes carries them, also.
Most sellers get high prices for the cartons they sell, don't know why? HTH

I would be expecting your customers to provide their own if you have regulars and are selling them as an unliscensed business. If you are setting up a liscensed business in full compliance with local ordinances, then the cartons you will need to provide. I don;t have any ideas to offer. But do wish you the best and want to extend a warm welcome to BYC!
