Hello! My name is Rosie and I am currently deployed in Djibouti Africa until June. But since I have purchased 6 acres of land high in the Rocky Mountains of Alamosa, CO. So I am supper excited about that. I was hoping to meet some fellow BackYardies that are in Colorado or in the Alamosa area that can give me a few pointers about raising Chickens in the that part of the region. How's the weather there? It's 3 below F here and lows aren't going to be above 20 nor highs above freezing for another week.

Hi ChickenCanoe!! The weather here is HOT!! And this is their winter season. The summer season starts around the end of April and it gets as high as 120.
