Thank you all for the welcomes! I never fathomed that there were this many folk out there raising chickens....but I can definitely see the draw. I am probably going to be bouncing all over the place when they start laying!

And for everyone else, just in case you were wondering about the names for our girls...partly a weird sense of humour on our part, but mostly because it became part of the deal of getting the chicks. The line that was used every time I brought up the subject was "if you come home with chicks, they're going to be...." followed by a list of chicken-based dishes.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.....you were right. I have fallen for the chickens. But who can resist them!?! They are far too cute to be legal!

And depending on how much trouble they are later in life, they might still live up to the destiny of their names....
