(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
We first had chickens in MA around 2012 ish. We haven't had them since 2015 due to a relocation where we couldn't have chickens. Very sad.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
Nothing right this minute.
(3) What breeds do you have?
We are getting 10-12 new chickens in a couple of weeks. Still deciding on breeds.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
The eggs, and the personalities of the birds. Even the clucking we find soothing.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Gardening, art, music.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I work for a non-profit community service agency, my husband is a music teacher. We have 2 adult (technically) children.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I honestly can't remember how I found you the first time, but I remembered being part of it, and decided to rejoin now that we are getting chickens again. Good to be back!
