I've been a lurkey turkey for years. Almost every time I've done any internet searching about chimkens, I'll end up reading through something on this forum.
Been wanting to keep poultry for a decade and finally hatched my first clutch a couple months ago. My partners and I have been building housing from repurposed materials and still have a way to go. I love backyard mixes especially unusual genetically diverse egg baskets and will be adding, culling, pairing birds so that I will be the uncle all the neices and nephews want to get their eggs from for easter!
Most of my chickens are f1 olive Eggers hatched from eggs I got from a friend with a few random extras. Daddy #2 is perched on my back in the second photo. He's going to be in charge of a flock of f2s from his welsummer brother.
