Hey y'all, my name is Nic (they/them) and I'm on the central coast of California. I make a living as a photojournalist and run my "queer urban farmstead," which can be followed here: www.instagram.com/queer_urban_farmstead
And during the quarantine, I've been doing a YouTube series on backyard chickens for my friends elsewhere, namely with kids:
I got chickens a few years ago and currently have a mixed flock of two Americuanas, a Buff Orp, two silver-laced black Wyandottes, and a lavender Sussex. They're a great addition to the circle of knowing where my food comes from and helping to produce a sustainable footprint.
I surf, do a daily yoga practice and cook a ton, namely fancy pizzas and seafood dishes. I also have two medium-hair black cats that are the cuddliest cats ever.
