Hey Folks!!
My wife and I have been readers for quite some time, and have just recently added our backyard flock. We were in the process of designing and building their home for a while, but now that it's completed, and the girls have been brought home, we decided to join up and become a part of the community.
My wife and I live on a city lot in Salem, Oregon. We are really interested in organic gardening, sustainability, and living the simple life in the middle of the city. It was a natural inevitability that we would get chickens.
We've now added the chickens, added a garden out front, and done a lot of extra work around the place to fix it up the way we like it.
We're looking forward to gleaning even more information from y'all and hopefully being able to contribute as time goes on. For now, I'll share a picture of the coop that we put together for the girls.
