Thank you allowing me to join the site. I've been on the outside looking in for months. I've spent several months reading, reading, and more reading, to point I feel I'm the most knowledgeable chicken expert with absolutely no experience. HAHA! Seriously, I am starting a farm fresh chicken eggs and selling of baby chicks business on our homestead. The business is not for profits but it will allow me to write of all my expenses on my taxes. our objective is 2 fold. 1)Great layers of light brown eggs. We're using cinnamon queens and australorps for that. 2) Seeking of dark brown eggs in which we use black copper marans and welsummer. We recently built a 12 x 34 coop for additional space. Any advise and all advice is welcome. I'm looking forward to the experience for years to come!
