We ended up with 2 female turkeys as pets last summer, they are now about a year old and one of them has gone completely broody. We don't have a male tom, and don't have much experience, but it was suggested that we get fertilized eggs for her to sit on. We would love to have more free range birds, so I am getting 6 large breed chicken eggs and 6 guinea eggs for her to sit on. I am not sure how this will turn out, but very excited to find out! Has anyone tried this before? What a great community! Thank you. :)

! Pleased you joined us! I know some folks hatch eggs of one type of fowl under a broody of another type...not sure how it all turns out. You might post in the incubating & hatching thread below - someone will have some ideas. Good luck to you!
