Hi everyone! My name is Molly and I live in Edmonton Alberta (Canada), I am originally from Prince Edward Island but, like everyone, moved for work. I am new to chickens as an adult and hatched my first one about 10.5 weeks ago, but we had chickens on the farm when I was growing up. I currently have 4 10 week old's, a 5 week old and a 4 week old (chicks obviously not humans). They are barn yard mixes. I've also studied urban agriculture (it's a pretty expensive piece of paper without an civil engineering partner degree) and I love to mountain bike, I'm a certified coach. I also have an 11 year old GSD/lab mix who has created her new job of of herding the chicks, which is better than eating them I guess. I've lurked for some time (well like 12 weeks) but now I want to become more involved. I also have no idea why this whole post is bold, but I can't fix it lol.
