We are new to raising chickens. I got most of our bird as chicks. I just recently purchased a full grown Australorp hen and was told she was laying. I'm wondering if she may be stressed and that's why she's not laying? I've had her for just about a week now. I'm really hoping that she's not done laying.

Thank you all! I contacted the lady I got her from and she said it can take up to a month for a hen to start laying again after being moved. Ivhad her a week. Really hope that's what the issue is.

Now that I have 2 hens laying age, will the laying feed affect my younger birds? (I couldn't figure out where to post this question, as I have to use my phone)

We got our first egg today! I'm not sure which hen it came from (we have 2), but I am assuming it came from the hen(21-22 weeks old) we've had since a chick since it has a soft shell. How long do they lay soft eggs for? Could it be the hen I bought that stopped laying?
