North Carolina Mountains
What a wonderful site ! Looking forward to meeting lots of you fun peeps and sharing in all this helpful info !
I've been into chickens for a long time, we called em dinosaurs back then and hid in caves from them most of the time

I previously had been raising Silver Duckwing Bantams, but have recently decided to go even smaller and am now focusing entirely on Seramas.
I've also been building fun and unusal coops, full time, for the last couple years. I'll be posting pix in the coop thread shorty, hope you enjoy.
I live about 20 mins north of Asheville NC., up in the mountains ( currently snow covered, brrrr ).
Cheers - Danny

from middle TN! Hi Danny, how lucky you are to live in the mountains! I live in 'the hills' of middle TN and love it! It is beautiful here and I bet it is beautiful where you live. I have standard sized birds, 6 RIR's and 6 Buff O's, who were hatched April 19th of this year. I love the little Seramas...they are so pretty. I have lots of room and wanted big ol brown eggs, so I went with the standard size, but Seramas would be the breed I would go with if bantams were what I wanted to raise. Welcome!

Thank you all, I feel right at home already !

I see lots of folks from OH. on here, I grew up on a farm outside of Cincy.
Oldchickenlady, my neighbors raise RIR's and pretty much keep me in eggs for the table, I love em !
b.hromada, it is truely beautiful here, but I wouldn't mind a day or two in S. Florida, right now ! ( we're having an ice shower as I type this )......
