Hello everyone!
I joined this forum so that I would have reliable and experienced people to help me out with a few questions I have, as I am considering keeping Quails! I have never had any kind of bird or poultry before so I assume that I'm pretty ignorant about a lot of things, here's hoping I can correct it by spending time here!

Here's hoping you will see me around!

Welcome to Backyard Chickens. If you go to the "Other Backyard Poultry" forum above, you will find threads on QUAIL. The folks there should be able to answer your questions. As a BYC greeter, I have noticed a big surge in new members coming on with quail. They seem to be getting very popular. For anything else The Learning Center has an abundance of information that can adapt to other poultry than just chickens.

Hi :welcome from Yorkshire UK

Glad you could join the flock! I've hatched and raised some quail in the past and they were lovely little birds. They were like little bumble bees when they hatched so small and cute. Please do drop by the quail section of the forum, lots of other quail keepers there. Here is the link ~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/48/quail

As drumstick said the learning centre is a great place with lots of super articles. Here is the section for quail ~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/other-backyard-poultry-ducks-quail-turkeys-geese-etc

Wishing you the very best of luck with your new venture into quail, I'm sure you will enjoy it very much.

Enjoy BYC :frow

Good morning and welcome to BYC!

I've never had quail before (I'm a chicken person) but you should be able to learn a lot from the links provided. BYC is a friendly place so feel free to ask any questions you may have.

It's nice to have you here!

so glad you have joined us.

My dad raised quail, but I have experience only with chickens. Good luck with your planning.

In addition to the quail forums, you may be interested in the England "where am I, where are you" forums. There are quite a number of members in your country and some may have quail raising expertise in your climate. Here's the link: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/2199/anyone-in-england

Enjoy the forums.
