I am new to raising chickens. I want eggs! Purchased two-day old chicks from the local feed store. Three of them. Two Easter eggers and one Red Broiler. Raised them inside my home until six weeks. Introduced them to the coop for about a week. I would still bring them in to sleep. Finally outside and realized the coop is too small. So we bought a 10 ft enclosed run. They are doing well.
My question: the red broiler has a droopy tail. Always has, Since her feathers came in and it started growing. I thought it would eventually perk up but it hasn’t. Additionally she has always seemed kinda lazy. She gets up, eats or walks and lays down. Again she has always done this. So I thought it was normal but now I’m not sure. Any advice?

The red broiler is a cockerel. I'm not certain of his breeding, but he may be genetically programed for a short life and health issues.
