Home Ed Fun
In the Brooder
We have been reading posts on the wonderful Backyard Chicken site since 2014 and decided to finally join the club! I also wanted to ask a question!
We accidentally acquired our first chicken when my daughter and her cousin were given some eggs that "might be fertilized." As home educators, we thought "Why not see if we can watch a chicken hatch from one of these eggs?!" Well... one did! Little Peep was hatched on May 12, 2014. That's her picture in our avatar. It has been quite a jouney of learning for all of us and we are grateful to a certain friend and to this site.
In December 2018 we agreed to babysit two rabbits for a neighbor who had recently acquired them and who knew just a little bit about how to care for them. We knew nothing, so we ended up with a surprise litter. Thanks to this site and the House Rabbit Society for help with that issue as well!
Thank you for being here! I hope to post a few pictures eventually.
