Hi
I want to get a pair or couple of grey (English) partridges.
What is the best housing I can give them? What size aviary would be suitable? Or is off ground cage with wire floor better? How big should it be. Commercial breeders in Italy or Poland keep them in 50x100cm cages, isn't that too small???
I want to raise them for fun and for meat.
Anyone is of opinion that ringneck pheasants are better for the obove purpose?
Thanks

they are kept the same what as reaguler Partridge / chuckars .

They are best kept in pairs.Ecspecially in the spring they should be in pairs,Could be kept together in the winter months, but I would keep them in pairs all the time. Also I had better luck raising them on washed sand.

The bigger is always better.I like pens that you can walk thru without having to duck down. These are my pens, but I raise pheasants so they have to be good size. The first 2 are my newer pens and they are 8x16x10,the smaller pens are 6x12x6.Are you planning on raising them on the ground or on wire?
