Hi All. My dark brahma Frodo is the most beautiful lady in the barn yard. She has no idea tho and she is by far the lowest on the pecking order. People just go peck her for sport. They don't hurt her, just aren't nice. For whatever reason she has chosen to sleep every night on the poopy board under the other ladies. 😩. I read that Brahmas like to be lower so that they don't have to jump down so far because they are heave. Simple - I put an extra roost down lower that is flat side up so she can fit her big fluffy feathery feet on the roost without having to bend those foot feathers. Nope, she still likes the poopy board better. So I added a flat board (similar to the poopy board with ridges on the end so I can fill it with hemp chips for her to sleep on). Nope. Still likes the poopy board. At first I kept movng her to the perch but it seemed like she was uncomfortable on it. On our chicken-cam it seemed like she was shifting around all night. I mean, if the poopy board is her kind of hang out, far be it for me to judge, but I don't like that her self esteem is so low as to let the other ladies literally s**t all over her! Thoughts?

The trouble with that is they have to be on two different tracks so I can pull one forward when I’m cleaning it and then put it back and pull the other one forward. If they were the same height they would smack into each other when I’m trying to clean them
Oh, ok.
Are the perches 2x2s?

I have a few birds that regularly roost on the poop boards.
It gets cleaned everyday so I don't worry about it.
