Needed advice with grit and giving my goslings grasssupplement and other treats.
1. I have week old goslings. I have read conflicting opinions when they should be given grass or dandelions. Some say right away just a few days old . Others say 2-3 weeks old. They are currently on Mazuri waterfowl starter only.
2. If I can start grass and dandelions; do I need to provide an insoluable grit as in granite? Does it need to be a special kind- as in finely ground- for chicks and goslings? I've read where people just take a plug of grass with some dirt attached and feed to goslings.
3. Can I give them treats such as old fashion oats out of the box?
They seem to be getting restless like they need to be doing some foraging activity. It's certainly warm enough to take them outside for brief periods.
4. Any toy suggestions for brooder?
Thanks so much!!
