I'm getting my girls tomorrow and they are 8 weeks old.

I went to the store today and they gave me starter grit.....is that going to be okay? I didnt realize there was a size or type of grit until I saw the bag. Is there another size I should be getting?

Yeah, the adult size Granite Grit can be fed beginning at 8 weeks of age according to directions on bag.
I mixed the Chick Grit with the Poultry Grit at 8 weeks to give them a choice and use up the Chick size Grit. Poultry Grit looks like this. GC

Thanks. I'm thinking I should take the bag back. I got 50 lbs of the "starter" grit....I mean it's 7 bucks so I guess I really should just get another bag of the adult grit

Yes, take it back and get the regular for adults....

Get a smaller bag if you can. I still have my first 25# bag of Poultry Grit, 2 years later, for 5 hens. It's about half full. GC
