Grit

I haven't given my birds grit before, because they get plenty of outside time to get their own. But the snow has now fallen and they no longer get to graze. I am not sure how to offer it? Do I have to put it in a separate container (how do they know to eat it?), or can i just sprinkle it in their feed? And how much can i expect them to go through. Is a small dish enough?

You can do either and put it into anything: yogurt cups, saucers, tupperware, etc.

Chickens are so funny when it comes to grit. You'd think that you'd given them the best treat ever and it's just dirt.
