Grit

Hello I keep seeing that a you should feed grit to chickens. In books and sometimes on line. The thing that's confusing is they say for free range. I get they eat bigger stuff them milled and processed feed. But if their free range don't they naturally get grit? Mine have over 40 acres to play on.

I never feed grit to my chickens -they free range and i have never had any issues.

Thank you lots of info there. Think I'll pass on grit mine have yard,woods,creeks and driveways
