Grit?

If my chickens free range a bit every day, do they still need grit, or will they pick up what they need? Mine are 9 weeks old, eating starter/grower from tractor supply, and get out for a least a couple of hours every evening to poke around my lawn and garden. Do they need extra grit? (When we got them, the feed store sold me a little bag of it.)

They should be able to pick everything up they need while free ranging. If you are worried about it get some grit for them. It is cheap and they will only take what they need.
