Ar what time should I start feeding my chickens GRIT? They have no more grass in their running area. They seem to be wanting something that I am not feeding them. They have not started laying yet, they are that young. I have thrown some grass in there to them & they are like in their heaven. I expect they will start laying within a cpl more months. This is all new to me. I need help.

As soon as they start eating food that's not chick starter you can offer grit.
