Grizzly killed tearing up Chicken Coop

Only about 15 miles from mine. I think....

I don't know what kind of coop can keep out a bear, but the gun works, and I'm grateful they still consider it a valid reason for taking a bear out of season.

At least this is a lot more rare, as predators go, than all those poor folks who live down south with racoons!

We don't have just racoons in Arkansas. My aunt had a Black Bear in her backyard in the the deep country recently. My uncle, cousin, and her are part of 4-H. They raise ducks, chickens, rabbits, and many other farm animals.

That's true. And those black bears can be just as dangerous as any in the bear family.

But those racoons! They're so persistent, can chew through metal with their diamond carbide teeth, and pick locks and when necessary have evenbeen known to teleport!!!!

YA the foxes on north pole are out of control too and my coop is barely able to keep them and dogs out as to its impromtu and still in the works but I have birch logs nailed to the bottom of most of it to keep the smaller stuff out.. we had a bear around badger gas last year roaming glad I didnt have birds then.. even though the dogs would hopefully keep them away.

Now, that there, is funny.
Thanks for the morning chuckle.
