Gro Gel, Is it enough moisture for older chicks?

I know GroGel is for feeding day-old chicks but I was wondering if it works for older chicks that you are taking to sell. If you put this in the cage with them, would it provide enough moisture for the day or would they still need a waterer?

i would offer water as an option. make sure its shallow or they will drown... good luck!
