grooming feathered legs

Obviously, maintaining a clean environment is necessary to keep their little legs clean, but what if they get into something? Does anyone groom their feathered legs? How?

I've rinsed my brahma's legs with warm water when they've gotten into something particularly nasty, but other than that I let them handle their own grooming.
