My 25, 3 week old Cornish X are healthy but their chunky butt catches the poo and there is for lack of a better description, poop streaked down the behind but not at all near the vent. I clean the shavings out 2xday... they never did paste up...but their is a pouch of flesh protruding that kinda catches it. So far I have not handled them much only in the beginning to check for pasting up....do I need to wash them off? Not going to lie I am hoping you say no...but I will if I need to. They are pooing fine in abundance almost projectile....they are quite the little beasts. We had an unexpected heat wave and they are not fully feathered I can not wait till I can move them out of my garage brooder into a barn stall... please advice and thanks in advance.

Hi!!

I wouldn't wash them off, give them a pan of water
I have my first batch of meaties outside already and I'm in Canada , I was told 3 weeks was time to move them out.

On grass or sand they will get cleaner id think , shavings are not good for much at all.

After two years of raising layers these meat birds are just weird , big butts, big breasts and fat legs ... you have to admit their pooping is like nothing you've ever seen

I got grazers I think Americans call them rangers??

@snow5164 they are the weirdest things aren't they?!? Mine are poop and eating machines! I call them frankenChickens (like Frankenstein) because of the crazy growth and odd look! I'm ready for mine to go outside as well, I think one more week.
