We have a neighbor that lives behind us, he is older and can come off as grouchy so we kinda stay clear of him. Yesterday DD and I went out to collect eggs when DD asked where are the roosters? We started looking then heard them crow. Found one at our neighbor next to us and got him. Then I see Penguin in grouchy neighbors yard. Oh great! now he will probably call animal control and complain. I have to drive around the block cause his yard is fenced too. DD and I go into his yard and proceed to chase the d**n rooster all over his muddy garden. Thank God its too early for a garden yet the whole time I'm cussing threatening Penguin with the soup pot. Finally catch him and look up to see said neighbor and his wife laughing at us. I apoligize profusly, and he asks do we have eggs why yes we do. So I go home with the bad boy and get a dozen eggs. Then I take them over and tell him no charge for the bother of my rooster in his garden, He laughs and tells me him and his wife love the roosters reminds them of their youth on the farm and tells me they will buy eggs from us now that they know my girls are laying. So glad to know I have another rooster supporter. Didnt know roosters could be goodwill ambassadors.
