So I’m making my first run ever for my call ducks. I’ve only ever had temporary runs so I’ve been able to move them around to fresh ground etc. I live in a very wet climate and on a permanent run having natural soil isn’t really a good idea as it will turn awful and erode very quickly. I’m wondering is a concrete foundation on the ground the best idea? Would that be bad for their feet? Would I need to put a layer of wood chips or stones on top? (I’ll leave a patch in the run natural with grass and soil as well but this is about the main area in the run)
I’m sure this has been asked before but I’m new and couldn’t really find an answer. Any advice would be great. Thanks! :)

concrete isn’t good for ducks feet. You can put concrete down but them I would put a lot of straw and hay down. I wouldn’t do concrete but that’s entirely up to u! :)
