Right now every weekend is like the movie 'Groundhog Day ' Hatching season is the best part of keeping chickens.
Outgrew my foam incubator last year and was extremely fortunate to find a complete and functional Leahy WITH a water pan. All the hype about the old redwoods is understated. They hold temp like a rock. I am using this in my unheated garage. Mid 30s at night didn't phase it this winter. Their mass allows getting into the incubator without a temp drop and when you buy one of these it's a one time investment.
I set eggs every 7 days in the three drawers. 2 days before hatch I move the oldest eggs to the bottom fourth drawer and refill the now empty drawer with fresh eggs. Continous incubating and hatching in the same unit. I liked my Gensis foam unit but this is so much more convenient.
