Grower feed to Layer feed: When can I use the eggs?

Hello all,
I have 10 RI Red hens which were hatched on March 2, 2009. I got an egg on July 16th and switched the feed from medicated grower crumbles to non-medicated layer pellets. How long do I have to wait for the medicine to work itself out of the hens (and subsequently the eggs) before I can use the eggs for human consumption?

You can eat them right away.

You can use the eggs now, the amt of medication (amprolium) in the feed that passes to the egg is very little. You've probably eaten worse stuff than a little digested medicated feed! lol

I have 2 RIRs that were hatched Feb 28, no eggs yet.

I start the pullets on Layer when I get my first egg. I use medicated Starter/Grower. I feed it to the birds until I get my first egg then I switch over to Layer. If I have any Starter/Grower or Grower left over when I get my first egg, I mix in the leftover feed with the Layer feed. I have never had any problems. The amprollium in the starter helps in the chicks development in their resistance to cocci. It is sulfa based. There is only a problem eating the eggs layed by the birds that have had the medicated feed when they start to lay if you have any alergies to Sulfa.
