I don't see what harm it would do to let the rooster eat it. He's not going to turn into a chick again. LOL Maybe it will make him even healthier. That's what I prefer to think. Don't waste the food.

Thank you! I will give them all grower and the adult hens/rooster layer and when it runs out then just grower? Would they still lay well and could I mix layer and grower?

My brown Leghorns lay over 300 eggs per year and they have been true to form. I usually get 2 eggs per day. sometimes 3 and occasionally 1. Someone sluffs off! Little joke. That reminds me I forgot to get eggs today. They lay in the afternoon a lot of the times so I forgot and went to a bday party that lasted awile and when I got home it was dark and didn't remember to look. Anyway in answer to your questions mine are laying the same. They must eat enough of their food and the chicks food also and vice versa. I could be doing it wrong but it seems okay for now.
