Grower pellets to layer hens?

I got a big bag of grower pellets by mistake instead of layer pellets - should I still give them to my layers?

It would probably be fine for now if the store wont exchange them for you. Grower pellets is a little higher protien than layer pellets and the calcium level is not as high as the layer. 1 bag is not going to hurt them.

It's fine! I feed chick starter to hens that are molting or under stress. Just have free choice oyster shell and they'll take what they need.
