Growing and Finishing poultry Feed or Layer Poultry Feed

I was at TSC looking at the chicken feeds and I was wondering what the difference between the Dumor brand Growing and Finishing poultry Feed vs Layer Poultry Feed.

I will be raising chickens for the eggs so I imagine the Layer feed is what I need.
I'm thinking the growing and finishing feed is for raising meat chickens?

When they are chicks you give them starter then grower or starter/grower. Then once they start laying you give them layer.

I am asking about the Grower / Finishing what the heck does Finishing mean??

Finishing does mean final preparations for the freezer......
