Hi All!

So I added 2 more chicks to my flock, another ameraucana and a silkie.
My other 2 are now 6 weeks old and the new ones are about 3 weeks old.
My Maran (Miss Cleo) is REALLY big, compared to the ameraucana (Mama Dukes) the one that we got that the same time.
When is it time to leave the brooder and go into a coop? I don't want her to go on her own, but she looks very uncomfortable in
the brooder, she always wants me to take her out and also is hot because the 3 others run to her to keep warm because of her size.
Also when can i start feeding them other foods so they can like me better, lol.

At 6 weeks old and if they are fully feathered, they could go now. I presume Orange County California? Then you are plenty warm now. Leave the three babies in the brooder. At 4 weeks old, I took mine outside for day time in a separate pen form my older hens. They loved it!

You can feed the bigger ones other stuff now but be sure they have some chick grit as well. I didn't feed mine anything but chick starter until they were 6-7 weeks old. Mine are now 12.5 weeks old (3) and I have 2 hens that are 1.25 years old.
