growing greens

I have two small patches of area I would like to fence off and plant something that is nutritious
for the chickens to go to as the season progresses. What are the best "grasses" to grow
I live in southeast michigan. Thanks
I heard wheat grass is fast growing and good for them....what about clover?

Clover is great for the birds and the soil - same with alfalfa and most kinds of peas. Wheat grass is also good, my birds really like oats and oat hay/grass.
