Not only was I lied to about my ameracauna's being EE's. I think now one of my Austalorps might be a roo! They are 6 weeks old and its comb is definifty more prominent than the other two I have. They were sold as all pullets.
I will get a picture tomorrow.

I'm checking in to help. And the help I am is that whatever I guess, you can count on it being the opposite. I've been batting zero on these gender forums lately, so I thought I should offer myself as an anti-predictor!

I snuck out and snag him/het. I hated to disturb them but I have to know! Lol the pictures are not too good, the bird wasnt very cooperative ( cant blame it) and the lighting is bad. Excuse the mess in my yard we are in the process of moving things around/cleaning etc. picture heavy..and thanks!!!

If I compare the chicken to my hens and cockerels it looks more hen to me

I can't say for sure, by comb and (lack of) wattle growth, it does seem to be a pullet. But then the flash has washed out any colour that may be there and the colouring is usually the biggest giveaway when caruncle growth hasn't quite begun in full swing yet, I've found. What does the comb look like to you? Is there any sign of reddening at all (like in Pinkaboo's photo)?

It does stick out as high as her's does in the picture but does not seem as dark, compared to my other two of the same age. It is considerable bigger thats why I was thinking it was a roo. I will try and see if I can get better pictures tom, with the help of my kids.
Thanks everyone.

People swear to me that Australorps are the worst at tricking them. I even heard of one person rehoming a cockerel only to find out what a great layer it turned out to be! Better wait a while on that one.
