Guard muscovy??

Hi I have a new flock consisting of 10 chickens (various breeds) and 5 muscovy ducks, 1 male and 4 female. I know some from when my grandmother kept chickens but I know very little about the ducks. My question one of my muscovy hens seems to be on guard watching over the others. She and the drake are older than the other hens by a few weeks. Is this something others have noticed?

With Ducks their is always a top Hen...Then the Drake and so on...Not really pecking order in Ducks but a leader ....

Well that is certainly what I am seeing happening. Here I thought my drake was dropping the ball letting her guard them! She's getting more dedicated too, today she is on the coop roof. I've been swearing at her to get down hahahaha
