Guardian dog?

Not sure if this is in the right section or not.
For those of you with guardian dog experience. I know most say you can raise many breeds to guard livestock... Would a great pyrenees guard without early training? Found a 4 yr old, but it has no previous livestock experience... I'm curious if it's deeply ingrained enough that I could still use him with a little training or if it's too late?

You could do it but may loose a few birds during process of retraining a dog late in life. You will be forced to go route that Great Pyrenees are not bred for.
