I know it's a silkie cross. Lots of toes, black skin. His beak has a white tip and he has big black beety eyes. I know silkie cross is probably the best I'll get. Just thought I would throw it out there for fun.

I'm not sure. They were selling him at the feed store. No blue on the cheeks but he has the white cheeks.(I know they aren't cheeks I'm just having a brain fart.) I was thinking silkie leg horn cross.

HOLD UP! I thought silkies ALWAYS had the black combs and the blue ear cheek things (someone help me out ) is this not true? I was looking into different kinds of combs because I'm just nerding out on chickens today and I thought for sure that silkies always have the black combs and now I'm seeing articles that are telling me different. I was told if they dont have the blue they are not truly silkies.

Silkies feathering, as @AlleysChicks says, is recessive, therefore both parents must have had a copy of the gene, so were likely silkies or mixes thereof. I believe fibro is incomplete dominant, so if he has only one gene for fibro, and one for not fibro, we get the mulberry colour of his comb and wattles. Mine is the same in that respect, and he has fathered both non-fibro and fibro chicks.
