Three Chicks here, curious to see what people would guess for their gender at this point in their age.

Chicken 1 - Easter Egger mummy and daddy. Mom is a gray colored egger, rooster is red. Age 7 weeks. Those red wing splashes are making me wonder if I have a roo.

Chick 2 -

Bantam-ish mix of possible silkie mum (or fleur d'uccle?), and I don't actually know if my easter egger roo or my cream legbar "assisted" in the making of this chick. I'm really hoping they are part silkie, my white silkie "Panang" was the broody who raised this chick and Chick 1, and she was taken by a predator last week. Anyone want to play "guess the parentage" I would appreciate that, I don't know much about chicken genetics to know what leg or feather formations might be dominant. Has 4 toes on each foot, and is 7 weeks old.

EDITED TO ADD: Possible mothers are a White Silkie, a Fleur D'Uccle, or a Bantam Cochin. Fathers are the previously mentioned Easter Egger or Cream Legbar. I feel like the greenish legs and fancy feathered hat mean that my Silkie has to have been the mother, but that's assuming those are dominant traits, and I'm really not familiar with chicken genetics.

Chick 3 I know is too young to really gender, but throwing them in for fun - Got this chick from a young lady who was raising it in an apartment, and her roommates told her she had to get rid of it. She didn't know the breed or the gender, therefore neither do I. A real mystery chick. Age is approximately three weeks. Any guesses about who this one is?

The comb on number 1 makes me feel he's a cockerel.

The feather pattern on number 2 makes me feel like it's from the legbar. That large of a crest makes me think she came from two crested parents. White Silkies are usually recessive white, so no telling what colours she was hiding under there. The green legs also make me feel it's Silkie x Legbar.

Thanks for your opinions! I hadn't noticed the comb on number 1, but now that you mention it, it is a bit redder than my pullet EE's were back when they were around that age. I really hope it's not a rooster, I don't need another, but dang it! You might be right.

It wouldn't surprise me if my Silkie and Legbar had a successful fling, she was perhaps the only bird who would willingly squat for him. I kind of thought Chick 2's markings look almost EXACTLY like my Roo's coloring when he was a teenager, minus the leg's feathering and coloring, of course. Suppose I should have mentioned in my first post that the possible moms are either a white silkie, Fleur D'Uccle, or a Bantam Cochin.

I'm thinking chicks 1 and 3 are possibly cockerels. The first one because of the coloring, and the third one just because it has a huge comb for three weeks. Chick 2 I'm leaning towards pullet. But maybe post more pictures in a few weeks :)

White chick is now 5 weeks old. Really curious to figure out what sort of breed I might have on my hands here. I'm pretty sure that this one is a rooster, and have been calling them "Ditzy the Rooster", but would be curious to know who might agree or disagree, and why.

#1 Looks like a boy!
#2 Is definitely a Silkie cross, crest is dominant so it will show up in the babies. The green legs are also a good clue! I would also guess that because if the pattern and the lack of muffs that the father is your legbar. It looks like a pullet to me, she is a cute cross!
#3 Even though it is only 5 weeks, it is already showing strong rooster characteristics.... I would guess rooster

#2 is definitely a pretty one, aren't they? And very sweet too, once I catch them! The more they develop the more I am convinced that it is a Panang/Stewie mix (the names of my former Silkie hen and my Legbar roo).

I do think I have 2 boys in the mix. Bummer, because it really throws my rooster/hen ratio out of whack. However the white chicken turning out to be a rooster makes me laugh, the woman I got them from kept insisting it had to be a girl because "it was so sweet and very friendly," and in that moment all I could think is that every time I have heard or read those words, the follow up is that it's a boy! Any guesses on the breed though?
