Checking for saddle feathers? Unfortunately at 8 weeks, it's kinda hit or miss weather those would be coming in yet.

My vote is actually pullet at the moment. Still could go either way with that comb going red. But I don't see a wattle yet at least.

That's not a good indicator of sex, unfortunately.

Why the legs?

Yeah. The legs are more “Sturdy” looking than ones that age, and the pea comb is more pink. I will get his/her legs when the chickens come out of the bush!!!!
