guianias & mites

My RIR hens had mites so last night they were covered in DE(and so was I) but the guianias roost in a tall cedar tree,so anyone have any suggestions as how to get the mites off them, I AM NOT CLIMBING A CEDAR TREE AT NIGHT TO HUNT GUIANIAS,

Can you get them into a coop or closed area with food then shut the door on them?
