I have three guinea keets that are about 10 to 12 weeks old. They have started to pick on my red and brown hued chickens. Will seperation solve it or should I find the guineas a new home?

Do they free range? If they do the guineas will have a much wider range. If you let them out first and put food and water in an area the chickens don't frequent it might get them out of the habit of picking on chickens. Juvenile guineas go through all kinds of stages and they usually don't last too long. I hope you can work it out. Mine are a wonderful addition to the flock.

Yes, I let them free range all day. They don't seem to want to go very far on their own yet and stick close to the chickens I also have some Australorps and they seem to tolerate them just fine. I don't want to have to find them a new home. I have always wanted some. Did yours go through some of the same moods? Could it possibly be because they are starting to mature and don't quite know how to behave? Thank you for your advice. I appreciate it!

My male guineas never got over being bullies. I only have females right now and they still will peck at the chickens if they are eating with them but they haven't tore into them like the males did. The winter was really bad when they didn't want to go out.
