My guinea hen left her nest so I put them in the incubator. It's been 13 days and after candling I'm lost. 2 appear to be on day 25/26??? A couple more around day 22??? and then I've got 3 that are maybe day 18. She was only sitting on 15 eggs which is weird and after a hunt I found the rest. 13 are viable. I took them out of the turner and raised the humidity to 70%. I didn't want to go higher because of the ones that are not ready. I've been turning them by hand minus the 2 that are super close but they should be on lockdown. I only have 1 incubator. The temp is at 99⁰. I've never had this problem before. I don't know if I'm doing the right thing or not. Normally I take the guinea eggs before they sit and incubate them myself so they're always at the same stage. What should I be doing that I'm not and what should I not be doing that I am? Any help would be greatly appreciated! TYIA

Sounds like you are doing all you can with what you have to deal with. I might run a little lower humidity than 70% and keep normal incubating temp.
That's so funny that you said that. I decided the same thing earlier. My incubator runs a litter hotter in the back corner so ice got the temp there at 99.8. I've put the ones I think are not as developed closer to that corner and up front are the farther along ones running at 99.2. I also lowered the humidity to 55%. I read through several articles and found that guineas hatch best at a lower humidity. When inturn the eggs I open the back corner and I'm not turning the ones up front. The humidity drops for about 3 to min before it starts to go back up. The hatch before this one I had a keet start chirping at day 24. By the time he pipped his membrane was dry as a bone. He was stuck and couldn't get out. Thankfully I was able to help him. I'm so worried it's going to happen again. As soon as inhear 1 keet or see movement they'll be on lock down.
