I have 2 guineas. I believe one is a male and the other is a female. Yesterday I caught my black australorp rooster fighting with a guinea. My rooster is beautiful with a big red comb and waddles. Well now his comb is damaged from the guinea getting a hold of it with its beak. Not sure who started the fight and why but I do know the guinea did not back down, in fact at one point the guinea chased the rooster off. Maybe the rooster (He is young) tried mating the guinea and she wasn't having it??

Don't be surprised when your rooster loses his tail feathers to the guineas.

If and when that happens the guineas will be culled. Almost did it yesterday but decided to be patient. I got them to try something different but they won't be favored to my chickens.

I’ve had guineas before. I couldn’t stand them. Anyway I had one male that was tough as nails. He would constantly harass penned roosters. If you like them consider just getting rid of that particular guinea.

I have 7 Guienas. A couple of them chase my RIR Rooster and anytime I feed them they chase the chickens away from the food. I try to feed in two different areas. One for chickens and the other for the Guienas but that doesnt work out. They were all raised together and all free range
