Hi does anyone here know how to tell the difference between a male and a female guinea fowl?

Have one guinea sitting on eggs, but I don’t know if we have a male or not so it is unknown if they will hatch.

Some guineas have flat waddles that make it difficult to sex even in adults, the easiest way is by the noises they make - females two syllables and male one syllable
Females also have a particular noise when they are laying eggs

The females say buckwheat and the males say Chi, the males also do the little short chases where they spread their wings as if herding- in a way … if you have a female sitting, her mate will probably be standing guard during the day and will be especially noisy as it senses danger to their nest. The males will still roost at night and then go back to their sentry watch during daylight.
