Hello! I hope someone can help me. My guinea hen has a bald patch on her back due to mating. What is the best thing to do for her? I have chicken saddles but I'm not sure they will be long enough to cover her bald spot.

Could you make a longer one? There are even no-sew ones that work pretty well. How many hens and roosters do you have and how much space do they have?

That's a great idea I will have to see what I can find. I have 18 guinea fowl and they are pretty well even between male and female. They are free range all day and coop at night. There is plenty of space in the coop for everyone.

Got it. Sounds like a nice set up. Yes, maybe look into a larger saddle. Is she the only messed up one?

No there is one more hen that has messed up feathers but no exposed skin at this point. I will probably put a saddle on her too and just make a few saddles just in case there is a need for more.
