Guinea housing?

Will guineas go into a pen/house at night on their own like free ranging chickens do, or will they fly off to roost in the trees?

Depends on their up bringing. If you raise then with chickens and they get along the guineas will likely go to roost in the hen house with the chickens. They prefer to roost in the trees and it's hard to keep them out of the trees.

I got mine full grown.. I wanted them to stay around the house, but not stay in the coop, so I locked them in the chicken coop for one week... they now roost on top the chicken coop, which has branches lightly covering it...

Not the safest place for the guineas, however...

I'd like to have some at my house if they will go into a henhouse, so it sounds like I should get chicks for me. I also want to get some for living wild at Mom's house, we've decided that we need tick control because the ticks are eating the horses alive- so sounds like adults for there!!!
